Tech & Fitment

The right flexplate depends on your engine, crankshaft, transmission and torque converter. If you're not sure which Reactor flexplate fits, we'll help you choose before you order.

What to check before you order

  • Engine make and family: for example GM LS 6-bolt, LSA/LT 8-bolt, small block Ford, Gen 3 Hemi.
  • Ring gear tooth count: it must match your starter and bellhousing.
  • Balance: internal or external balance must match your crankshaft and rotating assembly. External-balance flexplates are special order; call us.
  • Heavy Duty or Light Weight: both versions are offered for many engines.
  • Torque converter bolt pattern: listed on each product page.

About SFI 29.1

Every Reactor flexplate is built to the SFI 29.1 specification, the safety standard many sanctioning bodies require for flexplates in competition. Reactor flexplates use a replaceable steel starter ring gear, and we offer SFI re-certification for Reactor flexplates.

Installation
